Rip Curl Boardmasters

Mon 6 Aug - Sun 12 Aug 2007
Last year Jo Whiley, Judge Jules and Dave Pearce were all live from Fistral beach for this fantastic event. Dave Pearce played some wicked dance anthems, Judge Jules took a very entertaining walk around the crowds on the beach, with a fantastic Bikini competition, James Blunt warbling at his best and JoWhiley and her team took to the waves for some 'ahem' Surfing! All this was going on with the Board Masters Surfing competetion which added up to a spectacular event all round, so if you missed it sorry (not), but you know to get here this year!! More info...

Budweiser K-Fest

Fri, Sat, Sun 20th, 21st, 22nd July 2007
The Budweiser K Festival is undoubtedly one of the most amazing music gigs and settings in the UK. Where else can you surf in the morning, spend the afternoon soaking up the atmosphere and the evening rocking with some of the UK's best biggest bands? You can't afford to miss it! They offered some of the most eclectic mixes of music you will hear ANYWHERE last summer and are sure not to disappoint this year either! More info...

Animal Beach Ball

Animal Beach Ball joins forces with K-Fest 2007Last year the Animal Beach Ball event hit Newquay for the 3rd year running. 2006 events took place at Fistral Beach & Polzeath. There was plenty of surfing, mountain bike shows, live music & evening parties. Newquay was a full on action packed weekend and one that saw record temperatures as crowds headed to Fistral Beach for the first round of Animal Beach Ball. More info...

Whatever time of year you hit newquay for a night out (most especially on new year's eve) you will bump into some often strange and truly spectacular sights, with a wealth of fancy dress, stag parties and flocks of hens, from 'L' plates to men in drag. A word of warning to the wise for guys in fancy dress! Some night clubs will not let you in unless you have full length trousers on, so plan ahead and be ready so as to avoid queueing for 20 minutes only to be turned away. I have seen it happen many times!!

Ladies are OK 'cause as usual you can wear what you like (or as little as you like) and all clubs will always let you in. If that sounds like a complaint it's not 'cause that's the way of things, and I don't see anybody queueing up to change it!
